What are the qualifications to join?

While all PHC students are invited to observe general meetings, only EBA students who have completed the Analyst Training Program (ATP) can be certified as research analysts. Analysts receive voting privileges and can work with Senior Analysts on a research team. The Analyst Training Program is a self-directed, online program available for any student to take on Canvas. It covers the basics of market research, accounting, financial analysis, and valuation techniques. For more details, please reach out to a member of the PHIG Board using the contact form at the bottom of the page.

Why should I join?

Professional & Personal Development

Students in PHIG gain access to career development sessions focused on resume building, networking, and finding internships. Our senior members and alumni advisors have experience working at top banks and Fortune 500 companies and are eager to assist new members in building their careers in business and finance. Additionally, our distinctive as a Christian group encourages discussions over ethical investing, Biblical views of risk, and more, equipping students to become faithful stewards of God’s resources in this world.

Leadership Opportunities

Analysts are given the opportunity to move through the Pathway of Student Leadership and become Senior Analysts and members of the Executive Board. These positions give students experience working on collaborative projects, organizing events, setting group vision and strategy, and presenting to the College’s Executive leadership teams.

Real World Experience

PHIG extends beyond the classroom and provides students with the opportunity to manage real funds and research real companies. Through this experience, analysts develop advanced problem-solving skills, financial acumen, and technical knowledge and understanding. Regardless of where an analyst ends up in the future, they will have a robust, well-rounded skillset to contribute meaningfully to any company.

What should I expect?

Here’s how joining PHIG looks: new members begin their journey by completing the Analyst Training Program. This self-directed course provides an extensive overview of equity research while also encouraging students to think through how PHIG will shape their future career goals. Graduates from the program emerge ready to contribute meaningfully to research teams, have a solid foundational understanding of economics and financial analysis, and gain clarity over their future career opportunities in finance and business.

If this sounds good, we’d love to have you in PHIG. Please reach out to a member of the Senior Leadership using the contact form at the bottom of the page, and he or she will be more than happy to provide you with more information about onboarding. See you on the other side!
